Is there a way to curl an edge of a piece of paper in motion?

Of course I mean a layer representing a piece of paper.

  • We are doing the exact same thing. As far as I can tell so far were fine. Set the J-H3 at 23.98 (w/ PullDown) and that give you 29.97 into the Kona. We just finished capturing all the footage and will be mutlicam editing it tomorrow. This is my first HD edit so take what I say with that in mind, but the company I got the deck from said this is how it’s done. We are editing with the Kona LH which shouldn’t make any difference.

Okay we bought the Kona LH, we are shooting with the Sony 900’s at 24P.
Should I let the Sony JH3 HD Deck do the convert to 1080i @ 29.97 or 59.94.
Should I edit in 24P or should I let the Kona LH convert to 1080i @ 29.97 or 59.94.
Does it make any difference if we shoot in drop or non-drop frame?

    Thanks Dave

Thanks, Can I mix 24P & 60i in Final Cut? I was planning to use the pull down on the 24P and edit in 60i.

I saw the card at MacWorld and the throughput was slower than the Sonnet 4×4 we use now.

Kona 2 is $2500-3000 I think. FCP Studio (Which includes FIVE programs) is $1300. Total $4300.
Media 100 HD is $8000 I think. So that would be a hardware-sotfware comparison.
Kona 2 supports HDV and DVCPRO HD and some of the best FREE tech support in the industry.
