If I use the Matrox MXO I am down to a single edit montitor, right? Is there a way to split one of the DVI outs so I can still have 2 edit monitors?

Our stuff is for broadcast so I want to represent color as best as I can, but my problem is I am running into the cheapness of corporate bean counters. The money is a BIG factor. No way they are dropping 5 or 6k for a monitor. I need to get a real good monitor that stays in the budget. They will pay millions for crappy talent, but nothing for good equipment! do you think the Dell is a good enough solution? What about an Apple display throut the AJA breakout box?

Reference yes, but it will be my only source monitor so I might have to do some correction work on it. I know black levels are not true on the LCD’s but can’t I use the scope for that?

I know I could do it 1 letter at a time but I have a whole bunch of letters and numbers to reveal and that would take forever. I know there is a way to animate it using the animation selectors in the text layer, I just can’t figure it out.

My company is purchasing the equipment. I don’t think I will get everything I ask for, but I want the ultimate list so I can work backwards. And who knows maybe they say yes to the whole thing.

Thanks. Another question. Should I set up the comp at a higher comp size like 864 X 486 and then pre compose down or just work in the D1 Widescreen exclusively?
