I’m locked in dpx land. The ability to change one frame or one shot in a sequence is huge.
Dp catches that piece of dirt during final qc, can you frame that up a hair, oh maybe a bit brighter.
No problem.. just render the frame or shot changes, not the entire reel.I’m done with huge gamma shifts across different systems. The lie that is color sync and several other things i have found to be time killers.
Another bonus is the ability to check your render as its running.
I’m currently running 16 fc 10k drives at raid zero, paired with an atto 8 gb fibre.
My other 16 drives should be showing up any day. (last chassis showed up dead.)mY 2 cents

Are you set in output monitoring to legal levels and not full range?
legal levels will clip everything at 64_940 as it should. go to full range and you should see everything you have in final cut.Darin

Yes photo please. I’m planning to cut a hole in my case next week. Running mine with the door cracked now.

Very strange. I stick with dpx frames for grading, have had no issues.
If you load the same file into fcp and look at the scopes do you see all this lost info?
Looks like I need to do some testing. Are you setting the scope at 0_1023 or 64_940?Can send me a few frames of the example in a qt to play with?

Try the tab marked unscaled full range data.

Funny you should ask. i just was playing the displays, kvms, hdmi, sdi, dvid, dual dvi d..
I believe the answer is no.. The display output is the I/O card and used for monitoring as well as tape layoffs. No preview out from the second dvi head.
You can however switch to viewer mode and display the image full screen. I suggest the sdi output or hdmi to a calibrated monitor. In my experience grading on an lcd computer monitor is kinda scary.

I’m hitting 2k dpx frames.. I am getting 24fps locked green on my old 2008.
10 bit no proxies I’m getting 21 to 22 fps.
10 bit in ofp mode and I’m getting 24fps locked green
enable 8 bit 24fps locked green. The 08 is working for me, that is until I can justify the cost of a second resolve.

On the 120 it has a dvi and mini divi connection. I purchased a mini to dvi to run a second monitor.
