HD Link takes SDI and converts to DVI or HDMI.
I don’t believe it goes the other way.
I think this guy wants DVI to go to HD SDI.

Actually the lowest priced HD card from BM is $995. But it’s still the way to go over
using DVI out of FCP. As for using a Macbook Pro for HD monitoring, well
then you WILL have to use the DVI out into a converter like this one
if you want HD SDI output:

I know it’s expensive, but after trying the others we went with
Ultimatte Advantedge plug in. It’s available for $1200 from bluescreen.com
Made the best key by far, with DV 411 (DVCPRO source) and with 422
from a Digibeta source. Head hair was a big difference with
Ultimatte. Looks very realistic. FCP keyer not in the same league, sorry

That’s what I’m fixing to do for my next multicam shoot.
But I need to find 4 Mac Pros to rent, then buy or rent 4 BM or AJA
cards, and get a timecode generator to feed all four cards.
I wish someone had that setup to rent.

I was listing the 42 inch model. Sorry.
But the spec issue is the same.
The tuner version TH-50PX60U
and monitor version TH-50PH9UK
look like they have similar specs.

If you read the specs side by side with the one with the tuner
and also two sets of HDMI inputs, the TH42PX60U, it looks very
similar to the monitor version, but it’s a few hundred dollars less.
Then when you add the card to do HDMI or HDSDI to the TH-42PH9UK,
the one with the tuner in it is considerably less. I just put the TH42PX60U in a
buddy’s house last month and it’s pretty impressive, off air or
with HDMI in. Do we know the monitor version makes any
different of a picture, or is it the same display, just with the “pro”
dealers markup attached to it?

This display doesn’t appear to have HDMI or DVI or HDSDI inputs.
Did you purchase an additional card that Panasonic sells that allows
you these other inputs? Or are you inputting analog?

If your timeline is rendered, multiclips will not play.
You will only see one angle when you play the timeline
even with “open” selected.
That may be your problem.
