Mac Pro (Late 2013). It’s a production company who are still running 10.11.6 because of a server requirement.
Exported an xml and rolled back to 12.0.1 as I had work to do.

Two hours in and so far…
It wouldn’t open, had to delete the “Typesupport” folder to get it working (which maybe explains the following problems)
Wrench icon (timeline display settings) doesn’t work!
The Editing Mode drop down in sequence settings doesn’t work!
Format drop down in Export Settings doesn’t work!
Anyone else having these issues!?

February 26, 2016 at 11:05 am in reply to: How to get Next/Previous Edit to include In/Out Points?Afraid not, when i moved to Premiere from FCP it’s one of the the things that bugged me. Here’s my preferred set up…
Map ‘Go to In/Out’ to Q & W keys so they’re easily found rather than using a modifier.
Map Up/Down Arrow keys to ‘go to next/previous edit point on any track’. This way you can navigate the timeline without worrying about track target selection.
But the Arrow keys won’t work in the Source Window (they won’t go to In/Out points or Start/End like FCP did) so I map A & S keys to ‘go to next/previous edit point’. For some reason this command does go to In/Out points and Start/End in the Source Window.
It might seem counterintuitive having two sets of keys doing essentially the same thing but works out well in practice because you can use both hands to do one of the most common editing actions.
Hope that helps

I’ll throw in my 2 cents regards track targeting…
Personally i was hoping we’d now be able to change track targets whilst in Trim mode.
At present one has to deselect edit points (taking you out of trim mode), make a new track selection, go back into trim mode. I find this ruins the experience of going up and down a timeline whilst in trim mode. -
Just tried this out for myself and it doesn’t work for me either. Be nice if it did – trimming in Premiere is close to being as good as Avid, just needs a little polish

Exactly the same thing happening to me on my MBPr after upgrading to Yosemite. The machine usually crashes shortly after i start seeing it though. Hoping the next OSX update fixes it.

Thanks Dennis.
Actually worked out the problem was that I had the ‘multi-camera view’ switched on, weirdly this stopped the playhead jumping to the next edit while playing, turning it off it works as normal.
Strangely having the ‘multi-camera view’ on also changes the behaviour of ‘Ripple Trim Previous Edit to Playhead’, giving it continuous playback, which is much better imho!
I didn’t realise as you pointed out that in Premiere playback doesn’t continue after jumping to the next edit like in FCP 7. I’ll be sure to put in a Feature Request as i use this all the time to jump through edits.
Starting to feel at home in Premiere though and it’s only my third day!

Yes that does help, many thanks
If your feeling overly generous can you tell me this – as i’m only overlaying white text to the image and then going back to film is there any reason to do a log-lin conversion?
