Files with alpha channels are coming in corrupt. From Support “This is a bug that we have logged for the Premiere pro, it is happening with the PNG files as well as any mov file with the transparency (alpha channels) the workaround here is to revert to the older version”

Works fine here with a .mov file using the Gopro Cineform 12-bit with alpha codec.
I am on Windows 10 and I can assure you that I have no issue encoding and importing the above-mentioned file.
I suggest you try similar files and report back.

Agreed! Mine wouldn’t even open. After 1.5 hours of troubleshooting, uninstalling, reinstalling I was able to get back up and running by downgrading back to 12.0.1

Agreed! Major slowdowns – and Adobe Typekit keeps trying to resolve a conflict even though I have it shut off in CC. Spinning beachball trying to resolve that and xml imports given me lengthy beachballs. HUGE timewaster!!!!!

Yup. Another issue is that the search fields no longer work- greyed out.

[Dan Powers] “it is happening with the PNG files as well”

I have been testing PNG files and I can report that they work just fine in an HD timeline.
Maybe your issues are Mac-related as I am on Windows 10.
Anyone else care to chip in?

    Try this:
    Modify -> Interpret Footage.
Under the Alpha Channel category, select “Conform Alpha Premultiplication To:
And also select the box: Premultiplied Alpha

Two hours in and so far…

It wouldn’t open, had to delete the “Typesupport” folder to get it working (which maybe explains the following problems)

Wrench icon (timeline display settings) doesn’t work!

The Editing Mode drop down in sequence settings doesn’t work!

Format drop down in Export Settings doesn’t work!

    Anyone else having these issues!?

    Not impressed ]
