Is this a Mac or Windows issue? If so, are you running the latest OS? So far, I’ve updated at least 8 Macs (various models) without issue, other than a few minor glitches here and there. Nothing outside of the ordinary.

    Oliver,
I am having this problem on a 2012 iMac and a 2014 iMac. On a 2013 MacBook Pro it was working fine. We are now running all on 12.0.1

Also, FWIW had a problem where XML from Premiere 12.1 from our laptop wouldn’t work in 12.0.1 so I sent the XML to Premiere 2017 and it opened in there then I was able to update that project to 12.0.1

Mac Pro (Late 2013). It’s a production company who are still running 10.11.6 because of a server requirement.

Exported an xml and rolled back to 12.0.1 as I had work to do.

“the workaround here is to revert to the older version”

How does one revert to 12.0.1? there is no way to not have 12.1 overwrite the older 12 versions.

Never mind, I see that it has 12.0.0 listed in the previous versions drop down.

    MASSIVE PROBLEMS on Premiere 12.1:

-.mov with alpha channels flicker, glitch
-Some .mp4 videos appear upside down
-Exporting FCP XML, fail upon importing to 12.0

Downgrading to 12.0 has problems also:
-Exporting .H264 renders “Error compiling movie -> Import Error -> importer returned bad result
-importing XMLs from 12.1 creates an error
-Starting a new project and dragging XML has some results, but creates problems upon exporting
    -AME 12.0 fails
-Missing audio filter/video filter depending on whether AU or AE are upgraded/downgraded.

At least Adobe is admitting these problems exist, (search tag ‘12.1’)

Great – still hasn’t fixed the biggest issue of all mp4 media reading as offline though.
