I’ve read Vegas Pro 10d is supposed to use GPU from other cards than just NVidea. Not for preview though, just AVCHD rendering. That’s what my main camera shoots anyway. That i7 laptop should work great with Vegas. Now I want one.

Raising the bitrate in the render window, custom settings helps.

If the specs say it has Cuda cores, it can help with AVCHD rendering only.

You have track 5 (music) soloed. The ! icon is pressed. This greys out all other audio tracks as if they were muted. Unsolo track 5.

You can also drag supported files straight from Windows Explorer instead of Explorer in Vegas to the timeline or project media tab.

  • You need to render the video and audio seperatly, mpeg 2 and ac3. Put both in the same folder with the same name, just different extentions, and then render with DVDA as surround.
You can howeveer render as wmv with surround sound as one file.

Changing the default length of iported stills only works on inported stills after that change was made, not on previous stills added or previous projects. To replace a pic on the timeline, find that pic in your project media tab, right click on it and select replace, point to the new pic you want. You can drag the edges of the pic on the timeline to make it longer or shorter.

I edit 1080 60p video all the time. I had to make custom project settings to handle the 60p as there are no presets for it. Are you doing the same to handle the 50p? As far as the 1080i making blended frames, try setting you deinterlace method to interpolate instead of blend. The downfall is that fast moving video can look jittery.
I also have to make custom render settings to handle my 60P. Are you doing this as well?
