I gather you bought Sony Movie Studio and not Pro 10. There’s a way to burn from Vegas to DVD with pro. Search your help file for it.
If your version doesn’t have that feature, you would have to have some sort of DVD burning software like Nero or Roxio. Most new computers that come with a DVD burner comes with some software for making DVDs. I haven’t made a vidoe DVD in a long time. There are so many other ways to obtain and watch video in my opinion. -
With the camera locked down, every spot the car is in. the car will be shot from a different angle, so trying to key it, you would have to duplicate those angles. Now shadows, with keying would depend if the parking lot is empty except for your car. If there’s a car next to your car and the shadow hits that car, the keying the car way would then be way harder. I recomend your method of just moving the car for each shot, as long as the sky is clear or completely overcast. If a shot or two happened to have a cloud over you where the rest didn’t, that shadow wont match the others. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Most likely your ext. hard drive has a different drive letter now. The file location is how vegas finds project files. There is an option for it to search for missing file, as well as using a specific file location. either way, once it finds one, it will tell you it also sees other files for that project and allows you it re-link them all. Just save and the new paths will be saves as well.

Go to Options, Editing and about half way down, you can change the default 5 seconds to what ever you want. .033 would make each image one frame. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Does this happed with just one particular file your rendering or does it happen with any file? Some file formats are alot harder on the CPU than others and a corrrupt file can cause also problems rendering.
What format and where did the video come from? This info may help us determine what the problem is. -

I use Vegas Pro with 1080p60 mts files from my TM700 and render to wmv and mp4, both at 1080p60 28mbps all the time. You will loose quality using Sony AVC 10mbps. Are you making a custom project setting to handle the 60p? Also the mts files are 28mbps and Sony AVC is limited to 10mbps so I use MainConcept and make a custom render setting as well, set to 28mbps. The videos look great. If your not making custom settings, and need help doing so, let me know and I will post screenshots on how to do it. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

You can also use Windows Explorer to find the VOB files on the DVD. Copy them from the DVD to your computer and then change the extention from .vob to .mpg. Then add them to the timeline.

The ones that sample a section of just the noise seem to work the best in my opinion. That old Cool Edit Pro 1 had a noise reduction filter that worked fantastic. I need to scrounge through my big box of old discs and see if I can find it.
