Receiving error message when trying to record movie with 5.1 surround
I have Sony Vegas Pro 9.0c I think. I’m using a HDPVR recording device (Hauppauge HDPVR) I’m recording movies from my Sony Playstation 3 to .m2ts format and everything is recorded properly. I open the project up in Sony Vegas Pro 9 and I get the movie file and multiple audio tracks.
However, when I try to render the file using the Sony AVC type I get an error message that says:
“an error occured while creating media file “x””
“an error occured while opening a codec”
For audio I have the settings as:
AAC
44khz
128kbps
5.1 channelsAs soon as I switch the 5.1 to stereo it renders properly. However the rendered file only contains the first 2 audio tracks, and there are 4 total showing in Vegas.
I’m not sure what is going on here. I’ve tried downloading multiple codec packs and nothing seems to work. I can render the audio separately in .ac3 format, but for some reason I cannot render both the video and audio together. It makes no sense to me. Any help would be appreciated.
