One option is to go to Vimeo and search for that camera. Is somebody with the non free account like Vimeo plus or higher they allow you to download the original footage for more than a week for many of free user account you can download it for a week and then after a week you can’t even download app nada everything is converted to 720 and the original footage is deleted. Good luck but personally I look for a different camera look into the Panasonic TM 700 I have a couple of them I love them absolutely.

From what I read on this thread, I would steer clear of that camera as well, but if you want to try and get some test footage from it, try searching Vimeo for that camera because of somebody uploaded a clip from a camera that has a Vimeo plus or higher account, you will be able to download the original uploaded clip. A free Vimeo account will do that for the first week but then not allow you to download the original clip but also down grade any 1080 video – 720.

That’s good to know Steve. I only experimented with mp4, avi, and WMV. Mp4 rendered out but would not play in Media Player or VLC. I’m sure there’s other render formats that allow custom resolution sizes as well. By the way I also changed my project settings to 800 x 70. Just because it may not be available in the drop down settings does it mean you can’t manually type it in yourself in some cases.

That’s a new one. How are you determining that it’s exactly 4 frames for every mp4? Regardless, you can fix this in Vegas before rendering by moving all the audio events four frames in the direction needed to get them back in sync. If you have a lot of clips on several track and don’t want to do that for every individual events, you can use the ctrl+a to select every event in your project and hit the u key. This ungroups every audio event from the video event it’s normally grouped with then you can click on every audio event holding the ctrl key down to select every audio event in your project and then hit the G key to group just the audio events. Then zoom way way in so you can see individual frames and drag anyone of the audio events four frames in the direction you need and all the audio events will follow.

I just used Vegas 13 to make a 800-70 compressed avi and an 800-72 wmv and both play in Windows media player, and I don’t have that codec.

Try this setting but uncheck “allow source to adjust frame rate”. You only need the 60 fps if there is fast movement throughout the video. If you do, it’s not available in the drop down but you can type 59.94 in.Lower the fps and bit rate as much as you can and still get the quality you want. What are you going to do with the rendered video? there are other formats that may give you faster render times.

Render times vary depending on many things, like original file type,(Not just MP4, use mediainfo to find out what is in the mp4 container), What file type your rendering to, frame rate, bit-rate, ect. Are you customizing your render settings? And if so, what to?

There’s another great tool Steve Rhoden shared with us on a different topic that can do this as well. If I have shortened the event and want add the audio OR video back, It will add just the audio or video for the remaining part of the event. Not to mention you can heal a split with it too.
