I take it your keying yourself in so there are two of you right? Does the clip that seems to drop frames do it with Media player? More info will help, Danny Hays

Stephen, The only place YouTube shows up is in the software that comes with the camera, since very few NLE’s will edit it, Vegas Pro and Affter Effects from CS5 are the only 2 I have verified. It has some converting software and basic editing and a preset for youtube. I don’t use that software disk. I’m saying search youTube for HDV-TM700. there are some good videos that discuss this camera. There are some good video samples too but their ony 30p. Peter, no BluRay doesn’t support 1080 60p yet, just 1080i. 1080 24p and 720 60p I believe. I render to MP4 and WMV and play them on a fast computer. It’s only a matter of time until Bluray and other deliverable, streamable sites support it. After watching some of these videos, then watch 1080 30p, it looks jittery, studdery, as if the player can’t handle it. I will make a few downloadable clips, 1080 60p and 720 60p for quad and dual cores so you can see. I will start a Vegas post and put the downloadable links there.

I’ve tried older ver of both. Does Boris still make you to set your key on one frame? Can you see the keyed person over the background in the preview for at least a few frames a sec? If it workw like a realtime pluggin, I will check it out again. Thanks John.

Usually the audio masters are compressed to just below clipping. I would try compressing the wave file to lower the spikes and then normalize to just below clipping. Let us know, Danny Hays

You do see a waveform for the quiet audio track right? Try putting the quiet video and audio events on the same tracks for the one you do hear, just place it after, and see if you hear it. You may have the quiet audio track set to a different output or buss than the working one. Let us know,, Danny Hays

I have to agree with Bill here, if you light the set just right, with plenty of space between your subject and the greenscreen as well as good back lighting, Properly white balance your camera before the shoot “In the set you’ll be shooting in”. As long as you don’t show feet and need shadows, the Vegas chromakeyer wcan do a pretty good job. But the lighting has to be right so you have no spill, or it’s useless. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

I’ve never had crashing problems with alot of Sony Vegas FX, but NewBlue is a third party effects package and maybe that’s causiing the problem. Do you have any other versions of Vegas you can try? I get crashes with different versions. Like Vegas 9c will render a 1920×1080 60p .WMV and .MP4 where 9e will error or crash. Ver 10 64 bit renders these files without problems. You could always do it in parts, so to speak, like use half of the NewBlue fx, render to a lossless file, then add the rest of the effect to that new file, in case it’s a CPU or memory issue that’s causing the crashes. I just rendered a video as MainConcept AVC/AAC(*.mp4) template Apple Ipod 640×40 video, emailed to my self and opened in on my iphone and it played fine looks good on phone and PC.

That camera already captures 1080p HD, which Vegas will work with. I would use these files reather than spend the money for the Intensity card. The mjpeg format may be a little easier on your CPU but the quality wouldn’t be any better. I have the Intensity Shuttle I used with my HVR-A1 to capture straight from the camera imager and bypass the HDV compression. I just bought a Panasonic HDC-TM700 and the quality is so far superior that I won’t be using the Shuttle or the HVR-A1 unless I need a sceond camera. Hope this helps, Danny Hays
