    I have recently been offered a Canon Vixia HF100. Because it has an HDMI output would I achieve somewhat better video by recording directly into my Intensity Pro than i would using the SD Cards.

    Thanks;

    Dan

    That camera already captures 1080p HD, which Vegas will work with. I would use these files reather than spend the money for the Intensity card. The mjpeg format may be a little easier on your CPU but the quality wouldn’t be any better. I have the Intensity Shuttle I used with my HVR-A1 to capture straight from the camera imager and bypass the HDV compression. I just bought a Panasonic HDC-TM700 and the quality is so far superior that I won’t be using the Shuttle or the HVR-A1 unless I need a sceond camera. Hope this helps, Danny Hays
