Hi,

Just to give you guys an answer to the questions above.

1) Will Resolve support a mix of Open CL & CUDA processors simultaneously?

Not for GPU processing but In my system I have an ATI card for GUI output and 2x Nvidia 4800 cards in a Cubix Expander so you can mix them in the System but Resolve will only use Cuda or Open CL not both.

2) Will Resolve support multiple Open CL GPU’s?

Resolve only Supports 1xGUI card and 1xGPU card when using Open CL.

3) Since some Nvidia crds support open CL is it better to run Nvidia GPU’s as open CL?

We have found CUDA is a lot more efficient and at the moment a faster option than using Open CL.

Hi Reda,

Were you using two monitors and have now gone back to using one?

The Scope Positions are remembered so it may be a case that it is assigned to the 2nd display even though it is present.

Hi Paulson,

You’ll still need to install an Nvidia Card to run Resolve as all the processing is based off Nvidia’s CUDA technology.

I’m running my Resolve system on a 12-Core MacPro with an ATI Card for the GUI and 2 Nvidia Quadro 4800 cards in a Cubix Xpander for GPU and i’m getting great performance.

how about hitting T on the keyboard ?

If you have your shape in place already this will start the track forward and pop out the window for you.

If you push start dynamic for the first keyframe And then mark on the second point it will add a dissolve type keyframe.

For the power windows there is a couple of options.

One is to push display cursor. This will hide the windows but still keep them active.

When you push it once it will bring up the cursor but if you push it twice it will hide the cursor also.

The second option is to push up arrow then cursor (the display function which is written over cursor is what we’re using)

This will toggle window overlays can have :

Window hidden on SDI but shown on GUI
Window Shown on SDI and GUI
Window hidden on both

This is a project setting so you can decide which looks best for you and then leave it set up that way.

You can indeed!

Grade as normal then you need to :

grab your grade as a still.

I normally save it to the power grade library

Make a new project (not necessary but I think it\’s the quickest way )

Import the trim lut file

You can find that file here :

Library/Application support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve

Apply your grade to this shot

Go to the config page, under the LUT\’s tab and use the create grade from current grade option.

Give it a name and that will save the grade.

You should find it available under :

Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/LUT\’s

You can use Arri raw right now in Resolve!

At the moment you can adjust the color temperature and ISO of the shots by right clicking and then grade as normal.
