I used to use zebra only because that was all there was back in the Betacam days but now I also use the histogram display. Use both (histogram for balanced exposure) and zebra for peaks with zebra 2 set to 100% to prevent white clipping.

The version is in the Maintenance menu. When powered ON, press menu + sel/set + cancel together. Go to the IF (information) menu.

And playing chords on the upper manual/melody on the lower and pedalboard in high heels! What’s up with that! But the B3 is very sexy. I couldn’t take my eyes off of it.

I found some useful settings there that I could cook to my liking. Making records and a waveform monitor/vectorscope also helps.

You are right. I saw a video on YouTube about polarizers on the EX-3 and got circular and linear mixed up! But I’ve been using my Tiffen 4×4 polarizer (which Tiffen says is linear) for months and not noticed the color shift other than the far red effect in the blacks. This can be corrected with an initial white balance.

I use a Tiffen 4×4 polarizer filter UPC 049383018837 and it works great for bright skies and water without affecting everything else. Make sure you use a linear NOT a circular polarizer. White balance AFTER you put it on because I have noticed that it affects the EX far red idiosyncrasy (reds in the black).

Yes, but ClipBrowser is Intel only on the Mac.

I don’t think he’s referring to Matrix settings, but the Color Correction settings in the Picture Profile menus. It does exist and I seem to recall a shooting tip somewhere on the web but I’ve never used it.
