    People Smarter Than Me:

Do any of you know of a site or database where one can find recommended picture profiles for different shooting scenarios? I know there are really top notch pros out there who have mastered these cameras. I’m just hoping their brilliance has been compiled somewhere.

Trial and error is time consuming. Time is money. Yada yada.

If it matters, we’re using EX3s.

COW member Bill Ravens I believe has a slew of these. He’s done some serious testing with charts and verified in real world shooting.

You don’t gonna find many ready made lists of PPs for different uses. There are some PPs around, mostly for cine-like filming and a lot of post in different forums that can give you some idea of what to consider in different scenarios. Just few threads below this one, was interesting info about PPs for Chromakey.
I found a list with four different PPs (GBSO STD (?), Edding, Fine Det, Night) somewhere in internet call Basspig.com (Bas Pig’s XDCAM Picture Profiles).
    All offered by google.

    Check out these sites:

I found some useful settings there that I could cook to my liking. Making records and a waveform monitor/vectorscope also helps.
