Connect a DVI to HDMI cable on the second output of your video card (I use a GTX 570). With the sequence selected, go to Sequence settings/Playback settings/External device and select the 2nd monitor. Works great on my system.
It would be nice to have a “Target Audio” or “Target Video” keyboard sequence a la Final Cut: F6 then #, F7 then # and F8 then #. And yes, I’ll submit a request unless I am missing something.
Ditto for Premier. I could never like Media Composer or Pro tools for that matter. Both modify my system, leave useless folders on ALL the drives without asking and do other stuff that I don’t approve of!
You can trim and/or delete clips in Clip Browser and then save and burn the revised BPAV. I do it all the time to save disc space. Just set in and out points on the clip, select “Edit/New clip using in In/Out selection” and delete the original clip.
