To what? Print and video use quite different calibration settings (much wide range for print).

What kind of television? (CRT or Flat Panel)

Quicktime is a wrapper than can contain codecs that are both progressive and interlaced so whoever told you that was wrong.

Perhaps you didn’t deinterlace it very well.

In the same way as you would with any other video format.

To deinterlace everything is lazy and is likely to cause issues.
Why do you want everything progressive, at this stage?

They don’t make it. Main Concept make the codec in Squeeze. Telestream uses the Dicas H.264 codec.
Episode is the way to go.

You are unlikely to get what you want from QT Pro, it’s not a proper transcoder. You need to invest in Episode or compressor (which you may already have.
Using either of these, choose VBR and set a maximum datarate of 1000Kb/s and an average of 400Kb/s. After a bit of experimenting you should get the desired result.

I’m not sure what you mean by Exhibition Print?
Whatever information you have on the audio format is not applicable to you. Where did you get this information from, is there a website you could direct me to so I can have a look?
