Thanks for the info John. I’ve bought all the bulbs, just looking into the plug adapters.
Question for Clarification:
Since I’m running the correct bulb voltage, is a plug adapter all I need instead of a converter?
Is this correct, b/c I am not trying to convert the power from 220 to 110 since I’m using the Euro bulb? Thanks in advance.

Agreed. I don’t think you’ll find a better deal than the cross-grade. I just did the AVID crossgrade/Adobe Upgrade package for $1699 from Videoguys(with a COW coupon #)….Comes with $100 credit for FCP to Avid class on demand.
Stoked! and very excited about what AVID is doing for 6.0, I would love to be able to use my BM Multibridge with Avid. Love that it works great with the Adobe suite with out issues.
FYI. not an advertisement just can’t believe I got that package for this cheap…THANKS A TON APPLE!

What flavor of DVCPRo HD? 720 60,30 or 1080i, p, 23.98, etc.
Make sure your sequence settings match your output? What you’re describing sounds like you have a framerate discrepancy between your sequence and your bm output.

You could key frame the wb change with the 3 way.
-Set your WB, Apply a keyframe at the frame before the color temp starts to change
-progress as many frames as it takes for the color temp to change fully. apply a key frame and set the white balance
Give it a try and see if it is convincing.

Are you using compressor? If so, with a 720×480 you shouldn’t really need to go any higher than 6000-8000kbps. Click the video settings tab & enter what you want for kbps. Test it out see what you think is acceptable. I find for SD that 6000-8000kbps is “visually” lossless
hope this helps.

When you are working at 24p what is the capture setting of your Audio/Video settings? make sure it has a timebase of 24p (not 30p or 60) at whatever codec you are using (DvcProHD). I know it doesn’t seem like that should matter but I have found that it does. Worth a try.

Sorry about that, thought I had done a pretty good job outlining the issue. Obviously missed some key details!
SD project, NTSC 29.97, Video signal to deck is Analog component, Kona card seeing a 525i29.97 Ref. IN, BM sync generator to Ref. IN with Ω75 in ON position for termination
Bumps & jitters only for the 1st 3-5 seconds when playing from freshly recorded material from the tape. At no time does the video do a full flip, only bumps & jitters.
No bumps or jitters when monitoring the signal through the deck from FCP.
When recording to tape the video signal on Broadcast monitor holds still, no slight rolling or movement of the signal.
I’ll try a “Hard Record” tomorrow morning to see if that has any different results.
Thanks again for the suggestions

Thanks for the response. Yep, it’s set Ext. Ref.
Hehehe, but being a dinosaur hater is a highlight of my day, the betaSP deck is just such an easy target for my frustration…granted my ignorance is likely the real culprit.
Thanks again for the suggestion,
