    Thanks Walter,

As far as decks are concerned, do you own them or hire them according to the job?
Also does this kind setup mean that you can do on-line and off-line editing?

I’m sure this is basic stuff. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction as to a good place to learn more.

Also, just wanted to personally give you a credit for all the time and work you put into the cow forum, you seem to be in almost every thread. Thanks,

    Dan

Thanks for all the advice. I did a search on the topic but didn’t see anything that matched. I will look into it further.

I have a related question to ask but will do so as a new post as there are a few other factors to take into consideration.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Thanks for the prompts. I’ll look into their site and see if anything comes clear.

I played around (a lot) and figured out i had to manually input the aspect ration to keep 16:9 dimensions. So the size settings ended being: 720 x 405 and it worked a treat.

    Thanks for the feedback,

Cool things are becoming a bit clearer.

Walter, referring to the Io HD did you mean that it does capture uncompressed HD whereas the Kona 3 doesn’t or is it the other way around?

but the Kona 3 can perform that along with SD to HD Upconversion and 720to1080 or 1080to720 Cross Conversion.

How does upconversion work if you start with lower quality video, and end up with a higher grade such as HD?

    Thanks for the feedback.

Another thought to throw out there…

The Sony J30-SDI has firewire ports. Does this mean that i can digitise Beta quality video without a special capture card, etc?

    Thanks for your responses.

Joey, what do you mean by ‘ you’ll need to figure our how to get reference as well.’

Also, what would be the difference between what you suggested previously and the AJA iO (besides maybe the price)?

    Steve,

I took your recomedation of making a new comp and applying the sphere effect to that, and it works fine…

    Cheers for the help,

“You wouldn’t make a comp (twice as wide as tall) containing all the little images, then apply CC sphere to that? ”

Can you explain this further? Are you referring to the actual comp size of the project?

    Cheers.
