That’s very helpful information, Mike. Thank you!

I’m not sure what you are referring to, Shawn. I talking about customized FXs. When these are saved, Vegas must store that info within one of its folders. The same with shortcut keys. To my knowledge, I do not have the ability to pre-determine where those items are stored within Vegas. So, I’m wondering where Vegas stores them.

Yes, that is my question. But, do you know the names of those files?

I am referring to capturing, of course. After I capture in the 9a-32bit, I return to edit in the 9a-64bit.

If you happen to be using Vegas 9a-64bit, try capturing in the Vegas 9a-32bit. I have found the 9a-64bit to be very quirky. The 32-bit seems to work fine.

I have a similar setup and have experienced similar frustrations. I feel your pain. Hopefully, the forthcoming “9b” will resolve these bugs and Vegas can return to its previous excellence. I am confident that it will.

Sometimes I have to first turn camera to “record”—allowing the computer to recognize it. Then, I turn it off–then on to “play”. See if this won’t help your computer recognize your camera.

I have seen this happen. Try rendering your .mov to a different drive.

You could try doing a 4:3 render of a “nested” version of your 16:9 project. I find that this keeps things proportionately repositioned, though you will end up with a letterbox.

That’s my point, Jeremy. Those low settings did not work for me in 9a, but higher settings (not too high) did. It does not seem logical and it seems different from the past versions of Vegas, but that was my experience.

But, as I mentioned, there could be other factors at play here. I am still learning my new 64-bit system.
