i looked at both mail folders in user account>library in mav and yo. they were identical except my mav one had the pop accounts in it.
I copied and saved to a folder the mail folder from the user account>library on yo.

I pasted the mav mail folder into the account>library on yo.
I replaced the newer one but had the option to merge.
Did the same for the mail-shared.plist.Opened the mail app in yo. all was well saving that it needed all my passwords.
most likely a keychain file rather than a plist file?

Yeah that worked. Now to get all the data moved to the new os drive manually. Though I’d imagine moving mail and safari stuff over with migration assistant should be fine.

Do you find that the primes are better for head shots and portraits? No big advantage for the L series primes?

Well at 105mm our lens was not fast enough or long enough to cover the stage acts. 200 should be fine.
What lens series do you recommend for the 135mm and 85mm even 100mm for the head shots? Do you agree that the cinema lenses are not really the best choice for stills?

I’d like to do a clean install of Yosemite and all purchased ap store apps on a 2009 mac pro. Been a while since I did this.
Three drives are my media raid.
I have the remaining system drive partitioned.
One is the system drive.
Two is a clone of the system drive.
Three is for old versions of OS X install programs and FCP 7 disks etc.What I remember is that I can download the new OS.
Drag it out of the application folder.
Open up its contents and drag the installer program onto the storage partition.
I then boot from the back up system partition,
use disk utility to reformat the system partition
run the OS X installer on the freshly reformatted system drive.Is this correct? The articles I see are all about terminal commands and the like and I don’t remember needing to do all that.
PS I also have an external back-up of the system drive in case the physical drive dies.

“It takes decent pictures and outputs to a TV or computer (provided you have video in) through a RCA jack.”
So maybe record the images using a recorder that excepts video RCA. Maybe even a VCR or kipro or a computer with an input card.
If you don’t have the power cord that comes with it then buy one on eBay. Multiple folks selling this early digital camera.
