correct. it’s FC’s auto add key frames (after the first one) that confuses people. Though once you get it, it’s kinda a cool feature. perhaps if the interface made it clear what was being applied it would be even nicer.

  • What’s the logic in greyed out clips appearing in viewer?

Any changes only apply to the soloed clip but FC lets you see it’s relationship to other clips?

Would setting a marker help in the meantime?

    What OS?

Unless your Mac does not support Yosemite and 10.1.x then update. They are both free updates and the performance is getting better with time.

Or if for some reason you can’ t do this then do a search for how to delete FC preferences upon opening the app. You might also try a clean install of your os.

I found x does a good job. I’d try it first and only consider something else if it falls short.

Just increase the scale, grab the image with your mouse, center it how you like. Then click done. If you instead move the play head and reposition, FC will auto set new key frames.

  • Maybe boot from an external drive. Wipe it clean meaning reformat system drive with disk utility and do a clean install. It could be bad ram too.can you try taking out some of the ram chips and see if there is a bad one.

Maybe run apple’s hard ware tester.

Thanks Warren. Starting to get somewhere. App was a pretty easy download and works with the usb interconnect which means I could use any computer. Do you know if it’s possible to make a wireless connection to the computers usb input? Would love to get the camera untethered. I’m also thinking that if I go with a laptop that the lap top could then be connected to a larger monitor. facing in a different direction so we could see the image from a different position.
