[John Davidson (fomerly JNeo25)] “…if none of that works….”Accidentally” run over someone famous while filming your car show.”

Great idea, John. Although I’d offer a variant that is definitely guaranteed to give you national exposure…

Steal cars and hide them, setting out clues as to their whereabouts using DVDs. This will get you known in the press as the DVD Car Thief. Videotape yourself masked but holding up a DVD. Leave them in the cars…

When you get caught, while at your press event talk about your series and how you were driven to this by your love of your art and how the life of an indie filmmaker was all you’d ever dreamed of since you were a kid — that, and a 409 Chevy lighting up its tires with the police in hot pursuit.

Throw yourself on the mercy of “trial by media” and how that justice is out to lunch and argue that TV is the new courtroom. Ask the DVD buying public to be your judge and jury and that after they hear your story — at $19.95 a copy — you will accept their verdict.

Curiosity alone will guarantee you hundreds of sales locally if you don’t make the major networks. If you make the majors, the sky is the limit.

Who knows? You may even make an episode on Court TV’s “America’s Most Wanted.” (Wait, that would likely only get you as much action as appearing on one of the local independent channels, so forget about Court TV.)

Ask Bill Kurtis to preside over the hearings. “After all,” tell him, “this is just another episode of ‘American Justice'” …the best that money can buy.

If it works, you didn’t hear it from me…

At the price of harddrives, I’d opt for buying another internal drive, dump the new OS on that, install Producer there and then have a bowl of kibble and beer with the extra time I saved not having to reload all the other programs. Way easier on my teeth as well, as I won’t have to bite someone out of frustration.

It is just you that sees it this way. Everyone sees their own name in red. (Well, except me — dogs are color-blind.)

Before you plunk down yer hard-earned dog biscuits, always check your possible vendor on https://www.resellerratings.com

You’d be surprised how many of these so-called “legitimate” companies are nothing more than scam operations.

Racist??? It is what it is called in much of the film industry.

Racism: It’s best saved for the Indianapolis 500.

[Addman] “I had a call from a possible client who wants to know if it would be possible to shoot someone, and then change their skin color… “

Yes, usually if you shoot someone, they will turn a soft muted pale gray over time.

Dogs on the other hand, we don’t change color — well, except for chihuahuas, because of that hairless thing that they have going on.

Me, I only change color after too many bowls of beer and then it’s to a soft bluish or green tint that I personally shift.

But in response to your serious question: It would be a tough call to pull that one off — well, with any real credibility, anyway.

  • Scott,

Number One: When you go off like a dock worker cussin’ and swearin’ and carryin’ on with a mouth to peel the paint off the walls, you are going to get bitten by the Dog.

Also, when I tried to write you about your recent tirade, your email bounced and so your account has been deactivated.

[Nicholastoth] “IT FRIGGIN RULES for the money”

I do believe that Nick has come up with the company slogan for Nucleo. I can see it now, there on the side of the box…
