Convert the clips to Prores 1080@29.97 (non-HQ should be fine) before bringing into FCP and you should be golden.

Didn’t matter on my system if there was a freeze in the sequence or not. In fact I don’t think there ever was. The sequence always took the name of the newly pasted clip.

In any case, on a quick test it seems to be all working the way it should, no more name changing!

Unfortunately the rename problem isn’t specifically addressed in the release notes.

Canon EOS DSLR’s (digital rebel, (X)0D, 5D, 7D, 1D…..) comes with free camera control software. One function is time lapse (under timer->interval.) It’s fastest frame rate is one shot every 5 seconds, duration can be increased by the second from there.

Software can be D/L’ed from Canon’s website. Search for EOS Utility software

**only works with Canon EOS cameras.**

Was this drive given to you from someone working on a PC? If so, do you need to give this drive back to someone working on a PC?

If you format to mac OS Extended the PC guy wont be able to read the drive anymore. Only FAT32 is universal to both Mac and PC.
