I had a problem with a new Apple Bluetooth keyboard and added an external antenna to my new Mac Pro, got the parts from L-com.com Short range issues are common with the Mac Pro and some sort of RFI from the BM cards may be at fault or making the problem worse.

Mine works great now, and I think is a better solution than adding a non-Apple bluetooth adapter.
YMMV!

I have a Dropbox (Cloud) Account and export a backup of the project at various points during the day. That way, even if the facility burns down I have a version of the project that I could continue working on anywhere in the world. (Need to make sure a copy of the media lives somewhere else as well.) Finished a Hallmark movie recently that I started using this on since the Director and DP were from out of town and getting them back would have been almost impossible. Gives me a sense of security and a place to return to if disaster strikes.

Same as it ever was – this goes back to the first classics (1990’s.) Likely the ribbon cable – best fix is to keep it open OR closed – not open and closed.

I can get to crash if you play forward / play reverse without hitting stop first (on the wave.) Is this a known bug or just me – all versions have done this and I just try to hit stop between play directions.
OTHERWISE, AWESOME. The old classic and 888 never crashed either, showing my age!

November 11, 2011 at 7:54 pm in reply to: Overrated, overcomplicated and non removable. No hissy fit, I have been in the industry a long time and know what a great program Resolve is and appreciate the advantages it provides. There are many ways of working and I hope you find your way.
Please don’t trash a free program that many people have spent thousands of hours developing just because you don’t like the way it works. Maybe you can code a better solution and sell it to folks like you.
Peace.

Go back to iMovie and leave the professionals to our dumb program that I couldn’t have dreamed of when I started as a COLORIST 20 years ago.
Thanks Blackmagic for making coloring fun and making it possible for me to say to my clients “Yes we can do that!”
Keep up the good work – those that know wtf they are doing appreciate Resolve!

I have done a ton (spots with handles) this month, almost all Alexa (QT) Pro Res HQ some with 3D LUT, some not, with clients pounding me and me pounding the system, 12 nodes in some shots with 5 or 6 tracking windows and NO crashes – knock wood!
Amazing!
Will say I’m pretty up tight about no other apps running – I’m one of the first AVID guys (20 years ago) and remember how only MC could run or sure death would occur!Clark Bierbaum

I don’t think that a “work around” is necessary.
A few lines of code in a future version that would allow for this to be a user option is a better option in my opinion.
I use “T” but often I am in the middle of the shot and this is not the best solution.
I think we can put requests that don’t require rewriting the way the software works out there to be considered.
I do thank you for the tips – since there is no BM bulletin board it’s good that this one is active
