  • Sorry for the delay! Ti Black is working great with Resolve and Sapphire (which must have cuda gpu), fast and stable. Fine with Premiere Pro CC and FCP Studio too, although I’m not a power user of these apps.

780 with 6gb is on the way which might be a cheaper alternative, might get two for almost the price of one TiB.

Internal power used to be easily, FSP Group Booster X5, but this no longer appears to be available so some sort of external power supply kludge might have to suffice.

GPU Ram is very important as you add higher than HD resolutions, multiple corrections or ofx, glad to see another 6gb cuda card (780) on the horizon.

Move it by hand using dynamics like the old days. Works great.

I wish you could use a matte like AE, would require GenArts to allow a matte input from Resolve, would be a nice addition.

Kinda like “jack of all trades master on none?” Maybe that’s the market they are after.

Nope – and I have used this many times before. Put them on a layer per clip and left them there. Was in a hurry so no screen shots etc. Will try to replicate when I get a chance.

Maybe BM thought I needed some editing practice!

Let’s kill the bugs in the old house before we build a new one????

Had a crazy bug using “show handles” on C300 original footage – put clips on new layers and left them there one second longer on each end even though I was in color. I got to use that great editing feature to get everything right again! FUN!

NABer’s – do keep us up to date, Nucoda too!

    My clients are 75% Alexa, 20% C300 and 5% others – no Red, sorry I can’t help.

    Paul,

Could you post some standard candle (new version) results? Also which brand of card? Nice that two of these are less than a titan, and you have change for a nice dinner and wine!

Guess we should start a new topic so the KGB won’t hunt us down!

If you need a better GPU, the old Titans are no longer available from EVGA, not sure about others, so the Ti Black is your only option. To use that you need 10.9.2.

The pioneers get the arrows (and sometimes the clients appreciation/loyalty), the settlers get the land (and sometimes fall behind.)

I have had no problems with my Ti Black and 10.9.2 and a single card kills it with 4k.

Welcome to 10.9.2! Have the same type of issues with my Cyclone expansion chassis. Not a hardware issue from my experience. I haven’t heard of a fix, maybe 10.9.3?! I have an internal Titan Black and just use that for now, will be trying another Ti Black in the chassis soon and will report back.

  • Good Point. I am CUDA based so that’s how I think. Any benchmarks on this 280?
