Not sure if this has anything to do with it or causing to my sync issues is that i am editing footage from a 2 camera shoot. Not using multiclip. I am manually cutting between the 2 cameras. I noticed that one of the camera’s clips from a Panasonic HVX200 has a size of 1280×1080 and the other camera was a Canon XHA-1 and those clips were 1440×1080. Before starting the editing, I set up my sequence to edit 1440×1080 Matrox MXO2 Apple ProRes (LT). I just rebooted my computer and opened my sequence settings and was surprised that it has been changed to 1280×1080 and the Compressor set to DVCPRO HD 1080i60.
Does any of this make any sense as to why I am dealing with the issues I spoke about earlier? I already have 40 minutes worth of cut footage on my timeline. Should I just keep the sequence like it is or should I manually change it back to how I had it? I am the only person that uses my computer so nobody else could have switched the settings.

Problem fixed! Yup after I copied and pasted the footage, I clicked on the first clip in the sequence and reset the settings then I just copied and pasted the attributes to the rest of the clips and everything is fine now! I knew it could be done, I just didn’t know what the correct way was since it wasn’t working what was suggested to me by some other folks.

Before I posted to the “Cow” I did exactly what you suggested except I did not remove attributes nor did I check distort or motion so I will try it again and see if that works.
I think what I did wrong is that I am about to start editing a project that was shot in 1080i but then I had someone shoot behind the scenes footage in 4:3 and not thinking, I imported all footage together for the one project and went ahead and edited the 4:3 footage on that 1080 timeline when it should have been on its own timeline probably in a whole separate project too!

I was going to hop over to Canon and focus on getting either the 7D or 5D but then Nikon came out with the D7000 which is no Canon 5D Mark II but adds several things the D90 lacked. Seems like the industry has really shown the Canon cameras a lot of love in terms of shooting HD video. You hardly ever hear anything being shot with Nikon. Every review or article I read online or in a magazine has to do with a Canon camera. With that said, I did use a 5D Mark II to shoot a music video a few months ago! LOL!

Yea extending my play range was the first thing I did, then I attempted to extend the template duration and it seemed to have worked but when it got to :13 it went to black LOL! I was hoping I could find the elements used to create that particular template and customize it to my needs but that turned out to be a dead end too.

Yea I tried that and it appears like its gonna work but it doesn’t. After the duration of the clip it gave me 7 seconds of black when I tried to stretch it from :13 to :20. I ended up using the original template as is and modified the text so it pops up earlier.

Thanks Steve! Very informative! I have a DV Rig Pro shoulder support that I bought back in 2004. I am going to contact bracket 1 and see if there is something they make that will work on my rig! I like the Marshall V-LCD Adapter idea for the Zoom!
