oh yea, aescripts has a ton of auto 3d shape makers for everything from tetrahedrons to cubes. really, really nice stuff there.

if you’d like to see how well it works, apply rebel cc to test_wb comp and apply wiggle(1,.2) to set grey. The white balance will go absolutely bananas, but the final comp will still work perfect. Which makes you wonder, why didn’t adobe make this plugin 10 years ago?

well you can’t fit a kona in a laptop as far as I know. and tilda gets 90%. you can always plugin a DV cam to you firewire, and output your ram preview through it. also https://www.videox.de/ has a funky plugin. I’ve never tried it though.

so your projector works, you just don’t want the laptop screen on at the same time? On mine, it has projector/screen;screen only, projector only, it toggles between all of them. also, your video card in the taskbar might have settings for both being on. if you can’t do that, shut the lid(disable auto sleep in power management 1st), or put a black bag over it, etc.

on my laptop, there’s a button on F1 that has a little icon for switching output from screen to projector. Each laptop is different.

use RGB parade.
I’ve always felt that it’s best to set the black and white points, and gamma, prior to attempting any color correction, including white balancing.
I’m sure there are images out there where it’s better to use a different order, but I find that getting the overall tonal range of the image right makes any color cast or color temp issue easier to see and therefore get correct.

since I don’t know if you have mocha, I’m going to simply recommend offset tracking, hold alt- then drag the tracker to a new trackable spot. the crosshair will then be separate from the search box.

precomp it and then apply timewarp to the precomp. make sure the precomp becomes longer too.

you need to get Sorenson Squeeze. It also has a secret smoothing feature that can interpolate 12fps into 24fps.

I think effect-time-timewarp would look better than timestretch because smoke needs to move smoothly. I’d recommend filter extreme, vector 100, smooth 28 and speed 30%.if you need it even slower, precomp and copy the effect again to furthur slow down. Then take that comp and use transfer mode overlay/soft light/screen, at opacity 10%
