    Hey guys,
So Im trying to figure out a way to run the video (preview) out of a projector in real time. So I basically have my workspace and preview window on my monitor, but only the video coming out onto my projector. I know there is a way to do this but I’m having a hard time figuring it out. If anyone has any idea’s that would be awesome. I’m on Windows 7 and running the projector from my DVI out on my laptop. Thanks again!

on my laptop, there’s a button on F1 that has a little icon for switching output from screen to projector. Each laptop is different.

Yeah, I can switch between using my monitor, and the out put with f8, but it still projects everything on my screen. There has to be a way to just out put the after effects monitor/video window. Right?

so your projector works, you just don’t want the laptop screen on at the same time? On mine, it has projector/screen;screen only, projector only, it toggles between all of them. also, your video card in the taskbar might have settings for both being on. if you can’t do that, shut the lid(disable auto sleep in power management 1st), or put a black bag over it, etc.

No no no, I can switch between the projector and my monitor on my laptop. Im trying to get just the After Effects preview screen to be projected, and nothing else.

well you can’t fit a kona in a laptop as far as I know. and tilda gets 90%. you can always plugin a DV cam to you firewire, and output your ram preview through it. also https://www.videox.de/ has a funky plugin. I’ve never tried it though.
