Thanks for the post. How would I boot off the DVD? If you can give me some steps on that, that would be great or if there is a website or video somewhere that explains it that would work as well.

Thanks Dave! Yeah I did all the updates when I first installed FCP 7, which was back in 2010. I haven’t done any other updated for the OS since I upgraded it in October. But I’ll see if there are any. FCP 7 works fine and I can still edit, it is just very sluggish then it was before I updated my OS and I installed more memory.

Yes, we figured out some way to deal with it. I believe you can’t set it as a default, but if you highlight all the clips and select the audio adjustment it will change all the clips to that setting before capturing them into FCP. Thanks!

  • Okay, thanks. That’s what we do now. Just wanted to see if there was a way to keep it like that all the time for I didn’t have to go in and change it.

I work at a news station and our photogs just started using the P2 cameras and when they log and transfer they are in a hurry and forget to switch that setting a lot and they were wondering if that could be set like that all the time.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Thanks! That video helped out. Turns out I was on the wrong folder when importing and when I selected the correct one the footage loaded into fcp. Thanks again.

Thanks. I have a version of Premiere 4 and it let me import the clips but I can’t figure out how to export them as Pro Res and I can only do them SD files.

The camera they shot it on was a Panasonic AG-HVX200.

    Thanks

Yeah, I’m using Motion 4. How do you delete the Preferences?

    Thanks,

Thanks for replying. I checked the layer and it wasn’t locked. The clip was about 10 seconds long and the Text tab still was grayed out. Do I need to do a System Software Update for the OS? Thanks.
