Dont forget to check out mac gurus. They have a very good prebuilt or build it yourself product. Check out the different raids they offer (if any) to be sure you’re getting what you need. Hope this helps! Kind Regards, Chris K.

Hi Jeff, Can you buy a brand new MBZ today for the 2002 price. If you can find one – I’ll buy every one of them. I can’t stand the ass kissing that goes on for these people. In five years your eqpt expense has gone up as well as your overhead and your salary. Surely, she can’t expect to receive the same price. Really, how many jobs have you received from her in the last five years and how many more do you think she’s gonna recommend you for. Stand your ground and now remember to put into your contract a time limit on the price of your services. 90 days sounds fair. This is why I’ve dumped that side of the bizz. Buy the way, if you’re still charging the same prices as five years ago – you’re a part of the problem and not a solution. Best of Luck, Kind Regards, Chris K.

Make sure your NLE audio output is set to channels 1 = 1 and 2 = 2 or stereo – whatever system you might have. I did have a problem with my 1800 once where 1 channel was low. It was evident in the VUs on the way in and out. I turned out to be a bad solder on one of the channels and was repaired easily. Hope this helps. Kind Regards, Chris K.

  • Sounds as if the clients dvd player can’t handle the data rate you’re encoding your DVD with. The company’s who create DVDs are fairly similar. Some drives do handle some brands better. But TDK is such a large co. I can’t image them producing an inferior product. Kind Regards, Chris K.
