  • Hey Ethan,
    Don’t know the A6600, but if there’s a 4:2:2 out through HDMI
you could use the Black Magic HyperDeck Shuttle 2.
About $250 on the used market and would capture to
HD (not 4k) uncompressed 10bit or ProRes 422 HQ or Avid DNX
4K would require their Pro Deck version around 1600.
    Hope this helps!
    All the best.

  • I’m working on 2019 iMac 8core/Vega 48/32gb ram/2tb ssd/16tb external tb raid/
OS is 10.14.6 and Premiere Pro 2020.

I was getting video playing back at 1/2 speed while audio was normal – right out of the box!
Drove me nuts. I never had this problem in 2018 PP

I have a 3 monitor system and 3rd monitor is out through the black magic ultra studio mini monitor.

    My fix.
I went to premiere pro-preferences-playback and deselected all my video devices. Then select ok.
Then repeat the process and select the video devices you want. Then hit Ok.

This removes the video lag for me every time.

    Hope this helps.

    Best of luck!

    Thank you Ann,
I followed your advice about import and did the “clear media cache” recommendations. That didn’t solve the problems. Oddly enough, when I went to the playback panel and just de-selected and reselected the output I needed, (in my case black magic playback) it snapped out of 1/2 speed playback and now gives me realtime playback on 2 and 3 monitor setups. Not sure if it’s just a one time glitch or what – but happy to know my EP can sit in and watch down the feature now!
    Kind regards,

Always had good luck with Spartan Photo Center in Spartansburg, SC. A human answers the phone and they know what they’re talking about!
Best of luck in the future!

Seem to remember this happening once before. What I’m thinking is a bin got tossed out of viewable area on your monitor. Go to your monitor settings and change them to the largest possible. This will show more of the desktop – and you may be able to see a corner of the bin. Then you can drag the bin back to proper placement. Just a thought and I hope this helps.

    Hey Lee,
See if your telecine house or lab will scan it for you to a QT file. Apple pro res HQ for FW800 drives (e sata recommended!) Put it on a hard-drive, bring it home, edit, then output to tape or walk the qt to a online house that can master to tape for you.
If going to betasp then here are some choices.
If you want 4X3 full frame make sure you shoot everything 4×3 safe and edit titles at 4X3 safe, then crop edges on output to tape.
If you want widescreen then 4×3 letterbox is your output to tape.
If you ever have the need to go HD, you can master from same QT, just adjust titles to HD safe (more room to work with)
I advise cutting in an HD timeline and let the Kona Card or your Online house do the down-convert to SD for Digi/BetaSP layoff.
    Hope this helps!
    Kind Regards,
    Chris

From our experience, you need to xfer the entire folders, not just the bpav files. Not aware of any fix for this – but haven’t done a lot of searching for this either.

    Best of Luck!

The datavideo s500 switcher is for standard def. The PD 170 is standard def. The nx5 is hi def and only down converts through the firewire. So you’re running a hi-def signal into a standard def switcher – I’m surprised you get any picture at all. You need the se2000 or above to work properly.

    Best of Luck!

    Kind Regards,
    Chris
