Are you trying to create a Bluray(HD) or a DVD(SD)?
You mention both, it’s confusing.Have the project setup for the format you want to create.

What is the final delivery specs???
That is what you should shoot.That being said, 1080i/60i or 720p/60p is what reality and sports are typically shot at.

If they look correct in your HD video aspect wise, then, when you compress for DVD-SD (720×480) MPEG2, they will look correct then too.
Mpeg4 is NOT DVD compliant BTW.Chris Tompkins

You can only output thru the FW what mode you are shooting.
So, you have to shoot in the mode the Streaming software will except.

Otherwise known as a “thin-raster” format, where as 1920X1080 is “full raster”

Drag the .VOB files right onto MpegStreamClip, repair time-code breaks, and convert from there.

Your not alone in this. This seems to be one of APP downfalls.
I too have not had proper playback – SDI out to HD monitor with Production Bundle 5.5. BMD.Let’s hope with V.6 Adobe gets their act together…
