Have you tried using Adobe Media Encoder?
Either way, you have to make mpeg2 files for creating DVD’s.
From your QT master create DVD compliant mpeg2 files for importing into Encore.Chris Tompkins

I wouldn’t, you can’t rez up. You’ll loose a generation actually, albeit slight.

I would take it into Ae and scale it down some render out a new file 1920×1080 – (will be some black border) import in FCP for the edit. Crop/scale as needed.

DigiBeta is SD not HD, and you don’t export.
You will “print to tape”You fail to mention you i/o card.
You have a BMD card I assume?
If you do, chances are you can down convert on the fly. In other words layoff to tape from the sequence sending out a SD signal to the deck.Yes, it will be letter boxed, that is normal.
OR you can center punch and make a full screen SD version.

Can you walk us through your process a bit?
Did you transfer all the cards contents to the computer first?
(And hopefully back it up)
Did you L&T the P2 Media into the edit?

Encore is not really made for playback. It usually does not playback smoothly. It’s not anything to worry about. It will not affect your disc burn.
