    HI all

I need some advice on exactly which file type is best (picture quality vs time to create) to go into encore.
I used to happily load a qt reference file from an avid, but now this seems not to work (error says quicktime isnt installed, which is rubbish and works perfectly well)

ALSO Id really like someone to point me towards video tutorials on encore and in paticularly creating Dual layer DVDs, and that explain the whole Image thing.

Authoring isnt my core skill area, so im learning.
    Cheers
    Peter

    NB My usual workflow is
AVID MC6 to- Encore as a qt ref from a NON LONG GOP sequence(or
AVID qt ref to Sorenson squeeze – to encore.

Ideally id like encore to do the data compression calculation for me and just squeeze things correctly to make it all fit.

    Thanks

    Peter

Have you tried using Adobe Media Encoder?
Either way, you have to make mpeg2 files for creating DVD’s.
From your QT master create DVD compliant mpeg2 files for importing into Encore.
