So a digital file then? A mov? a WMV? in a powerpoint? mp4?

If your stills are from a video, then those are your specs, IE:720×480
See comments above for spec recommendations.

    What is your end destination?
If it’s DVD (SD) then choose the DV NTSC (if in NTSC land) preset.

Edit video till done and then,
Change the sequence settings to 8 bit uncompressed and re-render fully.
    Then Export using Current Settings.
Drop file into compressor to create the DVD files.

  • FCP is only going to ingest to the HD you tell it to.
If you have enough space on Drive X and that is your capture scratch, then it all goes there.

  • Can’t you dino-link from the APP sequence to AE, so no double rendering?
    Just render out of AE?

I find the Adobe Production Bundle to be slow on Mac, I don’t why, it’s a real shame. I hope V.6 provides solutions.

  • Your just not going to get it quicker….

So, what is your final delivery???

If you are re-rendering thru AE, then choose 10bit uncompressed and let it go overnight.

Agreed, Alternatively, if you have a DV sequence, change it to DV50 for grfx improvement for final re-render and export.

But, SD doesn’t look great on HD sets in the best of circumstances.

Time to go HD and Bluray….

    Bluray looks SOoooooooo goooood!

  • You can also save by buying a cheap USB hard drive for the backup.

Did you install CS After you already had the BMD installed?
Then, install the latest BMD driver after installing CS.
Then, use a BMD sequence when creating a NEW sequence and it will feed out the card.
