    dear creative cow,

    a very basic question:
i am editing a montage made up solely of many stills, all png files.
the stills are all originally taken from video files (both apple intermediate codec and apple pro res) – what should my sequence settings be?

    thanks in advance!

    What is your end destination?
If it’s DVD (SD) then choose the DV NTSC (if in NTSC land) preset.

Edit video till done and then,
Change the sequence settings to 8 bit uncompressed and re-render fully.
    Then Export using Current Settings.
Drop file into compressor to create the DVD files.

So a digital file then? A mov? a WMV? in a powerpoint? mp4?

If your stills are from a video, then those are your specs, IE:720×480
See comments above for spec recommendations.

Maybe I should have been clearer with my details – sorry!:

the montage contains only stills, all png files.
the stills are all from video files (apple intermediate codec AND apple pro res).
the end destionation is a .mov for visual projection.

i’m not sure if I should set the sequence presets to pro res or apple intermediate (original video is in these 2 formats), or simply hdv?
(the rest is 1920×1080 and I have chosen 50i since both original video formats are 25fps interlaced).
