    Please help,

I import p2 files in fcp (5.1.2) and it appears, but the moment I click and drag the vid to the queue, the status gives me an exclamation symbol in red.

It ingest sd vid fine, but will not que my 720p.

I havent tried ingesting anything on my iMac g5 in a couple years, and ever since I upgraded to s ow lepord my rather old Fcp is touchy.

    Thank you in advance.

Can you walk us through your process a bit?
Did you transfer all the cards contents to the computer first?
    (And hopefully back it up)
Did you L&T the P2 Media into the edit?
    Oh wait, you’re version 5??
You have just the import option correct?

Have you viewed the tapeless workflow tutorial here on the cow?

    When I go to import-

There is a special option for Panasonic p2

The video content appears in the window but when I import it, it remains idle and ! Symbol Appears (as if it can’t finish uploading)

Log and transfer is A Ok with Sd content

Does p2 work well with the new FCP X?

I need to get new software.

    Thx for your help

I’m using FCP7 so I’m not sure if this applies When I have that exact same problem I go to the little gear icon in the Log & Transfer window and toggle “Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate Frames” under Preferences which always fixes it. Don’t know why, but it works.
