That’s compression.
You Can:

Compress at a higher bit rate.
Start with a higher res image/video.
Use thicker less texts.

You can also try:
Change the compressor settings in the FCP sequence to Prores 422 or 8 bit uncompressed and re-render fully before exporting to compressor.

Ya, using Compressor to make a PAL version is never going to look very good.

I would send the NTSC. As I understand it, PAL DVD Players- most of the time will play the NTSC disc just fine.

If it comes back that they cannot play it (probably won’t) them tell them we have to get this NTSC master converted to PAL and it’s going to cost to have a foreign conversion done. Then you, find a place that does Foreign conversions and have them do it for you and mark it up some.

The golden rule here has Always been:

Buy the Most Powerful Computer your budget will allow.

With that being said, if you can hold out another 8 weeks or so, Apple is long over-due for iMac and MacPro updated models and is rumored to release in late June…

Fine detail will not translate well.
Make photo sizes big enough for moves (if desired) and no bigger.
Convert to PNG/tiff/Targa/PSD b/4 import.
Convert your sequence compressor to Prores when the edit is locked.
Fully render all.
Export current settings.
Take that file to create your deliverables.
View video on a final screen.
You may be expecting to much from a fine detail or lower res pic.

Depending on your hardware.
With FCP7 it will not run on future Macs.
So there is an end of life.

If your in it for the long haul. Make the switch, go with something that will be around and can utilize the latest hardware. This will make editing easier, better, faster and allow you to hone your skills and grow and develop with an app.

You have to install the Newest BMD driver for APP After you install CS6.
