IMO, b/c it originates on DVCPROHD, you would not gain any noticable difference coming in via SDI to Prores. Unless;

You were planning on many, many layers of grfx and rendering and compositing and more layers, multi-rendered etc.

Yup, Deactivate the software on the MacPro.
Delete/UN-install/format – whatever.

Install it on the new iMac.

Should be new iMac this fall and new Mac Pro in 2013.

I would wait it out for the iMac.

You shot HD – 1080i
You Edit 1080i
Create DVD interlaced.
Done.
What’s the problem?

You don’t want to DEinterlace if you’re gong to DVD.

1080i is upper.
When we make DVD’s (SD) they’re Upper, coming from HD upper fields.

Don’t judge anything on the computer screen.

This is not a bug.

Try exporting to another codec for one.

Try the Vimeo HD 720p/24 preset, not widescreen.
Try lowering the data rate some.
