    Hello,

I’m considering changing my Macpro 2.1 to a 27″ iMac speced out to the maximum.

I’m running CS6 with the bulk of my work on AE and some Premier. Premier CS6 does not behave well on the Macpro compared with 5.5. At present running 10.6.8.

I’m aware that the iMac’s graphics card isn’t Cuda enabled.

Any thoughts on the feasibility of this ? Is CS6 stable on Mountain Lion ?

Also, can anybody direct me on how to change my Production Premium license to a new machine – I can’t find the relevant info.

    Thanks in advance,

I believe you can deactivate on one computer and activate on another?

There are also some that believe a iMac update is right around the corner, which I hope would offer a CUDA graphics card option.

Yes, I’ve heard similar, but my colleague read a link in the New York Times that it could be February before the new release. Speculation, speculation. Tiresome.

And your correct about the deactivation – I did track down the relevant page on Adobe’s site – I didn’t use the correct search criteria

Yup, Deactivate the software on the MacPro.
    Delete/UN-install/format – whatever.

Install it on the new iMac.

Should be new iMac this fall and new Mac Pro in 2013.

I would wait it out for the iMac.
