P2 video glitches
Adobe and forum members. I am documenting the continued existence of video glitches when playing back P2 in a sequence built from the P2 clip which was Imported from the original folder.
This has been documented on both a Mac and a PC system. Both running PrP 6.0. I can match frame to it. But it is intermittent if I close then reopen PrP.

Is it baked in the clip? Or is it random on playback?

Usually another area of the clip has the same glitch after rebooting.

Well if there not baked in then that is a huge relief.

No, it is not a huge relief at all. It freaks clients out during the editing process to see big glitches. And they are exported to the final master file. Not good. 🙁

Holy cookies, Batman! I thought it was one of my cards! I just noticed it on a project I started. I haven’t had a chance yet to check the card or actual footage, just raised my eyebrows when I saw it cuz both the camera and the card is new. Thanks for the heads up on this, hopefully Adobe will fix this glitch soon.

Hey Tom
i’m running into this issue also. is there a fix? i have a big P2 project coming up with a few Varicams recording AVC-Intra. I’m now thinking I’m gonna have to transcode outside of Adobe to even use the footage. thoughts?

Hi Eric. No, I see the exact same problem in CS6.
Its probably a good idea for a Plan B
AND a bug report so SOMEDAY it gets addressed. 😀
