Paul, it’s the jump to the end of said clip is what he’s asking about. In FCP, there’s a key stroke to jump to the beginning or end of a clip when in effects mode.

I use a “work Area” project for such things, or a scratch project.
Create a Capture Proj. if you like.Load all in.
Then import clips into the corresponding projects. Just a thought.

If you’re going to DVD or Bluray, I would leave it interlaced.
Digital file for youtube/vimeo/screen playback, you’ll want to de-interlace the video.Alternatively instead of a Data Disc, why not post the video somewhere and send link?
If festival folks are wading through a stack of DVD submissions, they’re probably kickin back on sofas or office chairs and watching a big TV fed by a DVD/bluray player and not crowding around a laptop, JMO.

What you’re doing is fine.
No, that adapter will not work, I don’t believe.You need the P2 Card Reader, with USB at the lowest cost end.

First of all you should not be judging your video on the computer screen.
If you shot Interlaced.
Edit Interlaced.
Export an Interlaced master when all said and done.Change to progressive when exporting to a webclip or screen use file.
