Did you try, File~import, to bring in the media into FCP?
The prores files will have a .mov extension. They are quicktime.

It’s more then just a field order thing. APP just doesn’t do a great job. It does a OK job.

These too are pretty much the same.

    Sony Z1E – 25fps
Some kind of Panasonic – 50fps

Your 50i should be 50i/25p. They should sync.

Try cutting those two together til done. The manually edit in the Canon 550D – 23.976fps

  • When you compress for DVD – making mpeg2 compliant files – you set the data rate.
Start around 6mb/s and see how large file you have. Keep dialing it in until you’re around 4GB for the vid track.

This way you are Maximizing the quality to space ratio.

October 3, 2012 at 4:24 pm in reply to: More stuttering on export

    When Exporting?
    What do you mean?

The exported movie file you exported does not play smooth off your desktop?

Or Playing a video in the Sequence?

When exporting there is no stuttering or playback, it’s compressing…

October 2, 2012 at 1:20 pm in reply to: Log and Transfer DVCPro HD white video

FCP is all set to L&T P2 Material shot in DVCPROHD codec.
You shouldn’t need to hunt down anything extra or new.

Have you off-loaded the card media onto the computer 1st?
Do you have P2CMS software free from Panasonic?
You can use that to off-load cards and VERIFY as you transfer but you can also look at the clips and play them there.

If you want it HD and you want most if not all to have NO Issues viewing it, I’d stick with .h264.
Can you break it up into pieces?
