    Same here. I was on M100 from 96-2005. Using a Mackie Mixer then as I do now w/the FCP set up.

    I’ve done this very thing 3 times now. Not a problem. I leave the drives powered down until I get to the install of the controller card driver. You should be fine.

    Have u recorded some clips b/4 you logged and tried batch capture? It sounds like u have clips on the hard drive already. Try “reconnect media” and search your hard drive(s) first to reconnect your media. Then what’s left – choose batch capture to load from tape.
    I’ll bet the footage from Fiji looks great…

    From what I’ve read – DVCPRO 50 is just like DigiBeta. At a much better cost.
    If You master on DVCPro. Shoot DVCPro and capture to the Digibeta codec and it’ll look great. FWIW

    Did you “Mix Down” your audio b/4 playback?
    I don’t think the volume of your audio would effect playback…

    I don’t think Disk Utilities will allow repair permission on anything but your mac internal hd
