Did you use P2CMS to transfer and verify ALL the card media to the computer?

Do you have a “Spanned” clip?

What version of FCP do you have?
Does FCP ask you to change sequence settings to best match footage?
When your settings are correct – there is NO NEED to render a video track to playback.

What are you video settings?

Start with the color correcting tools in FCP.
Have you tried the 3-way color correct filter?

Your footage is HD, you should edit in HD.
Drop a clip from the P2 footage into a new emty sequence and let FCP set the sequence settings for you.

What did you bring the DSLR footage in as?

In the Browser it will give you the specs on the audio.
You probably need to re-do em so they are 48k, 16bit, aif’s

Then there will be no audio issues for you.

to solve Boris issues with FCP.

I finally threw in the towel and said enoughs enough.
We Don’t use Boris no more.

Try closing all sequences but the one you’re working on.

In your system settings = RT playback set to safe?
