If you saved over it and closed the file… you cannot recover.

But if you saved and left it open,
you can see in your history
window and go as far back as possible.

And in the effects you made, were they in the effects panel? (Not the filters panel)? In that case, you can save your look as a style and apply it to other objects.

    Hope this helps.

    Well, there’s your answer.

Your image is lo-resolution. Not meant for printing.

You need to have your camera settings to the highest possible resolution…
Then you can zoom in and it won’t look pixelated.

    640 x 480 @ 72 dpi (dots per inch) gets you an image sized at 8.8″ x 6.6″ inches.

But for your picture to look decent for printing (off of your desktop printer) it should
    ATLEAST be 150 dpi, which at 8.8″ x 6.6 would be 1320 x 990.

If you were printing professionally (on a press) your image needs to be 300 dpi…
or 2640 x 1980 pixels… to get you an idea.

    hope this helps.

My first thought is why would you want to de-interlace your text? What is your end product? VIdeo Print? web? I never de-interlace for any reason though. I think the only reason you’d want to to use this (or what its meant for) is if you are using stills from DV video.

I don’t quite understand what you mean when you say “…so I believe when finalized this TEXT image of NAMES I “

That being said, at least in the version of photoshop that I have, you cannot apply a filter to a text layer. You need to rasterize it first. So duplicate you original text so you don’t lose edit-ability.

If you want to make the same effect every time on various titles, I would learn about how to make an action.

I have an old version of photoshop (no 3d) so I’d draw this in Illustrator, but if you don’t have it… You can make a grid and apply polar coordinates, Then perhaps a zizag filter?

I tried it and applied more lines vertically than horizontally and seemed to achieve somewhat. But it seems pretty simply to draw…

Perhaps you should check with Waacom… Maybe they have an update. Or let them know of this issue at least.

Easy… (assuming this is a High Res Photo)… with the crop tool selected, at the top (under your menu) there should be some areas where you can input numbers… Type in the width in inches (example: 3 in) and height (in inches) that your picture need to be. And in DPI (or resolution) type 300.

Then crop the image, making sure your head is where it is supposed to be and it will shrink it down.

You need to follow certain directions for passport photos, that you can get from the US government website. Just search “passport photo instructions”

  • Easy, just make an Action.

    Go to WIndows>Actions

In the Action Window (btw: make sure button mode is NOT selected)

Click the Little folder at the bottom. This will create a new action set (so it doesn’t get mixed up with the rest of the actions) Name it something like My Actions or Bob’s Actions (Bob being your name)…

Then select the little paper button next to the folder. This is where you will actually start to make a new action.

    Name it “CLOSE-Don’t Save”

Then close one of your pictures and don’t save it. (make sure you did something to it before starting the action, that way it asks you if you want to save and you hit NO.)

    Then stop the Action.

    Now, go to File>Automate>Batch

Select your action (it should show the one you just made)

Make sure you select “opened Files”.

    Click Ok and Viola.

Then make a Save ALL action with the same process.
I also have a rotate left or right action I make so I don’t have to use the menu,

  • Also, It might be applying a Matte… Make sure in your Save for Web options, Matte is set to NONE.
