  • Saving for web… white line appears – how can I loose it?

Posted by Samantha Lasbury on June 12, 2010 at 6:09 pm

I’m saving a number of j-pegs to put on my website. I’ve no design experience what so ever, but this is what I’m doing…

save for web & devices – j-peg – untick ‘clip to artboard’ (so I have the image only)- save

For some reason this leaves me with about 1mm of white space along the bottom of the image. Does anyone know why/how to get rid of it please? Or to save my artwork as image only?

    Thanks 🙂

You need to set the artboard to the correct size (eg the size of your final image). Then set the background color of your artwork (or your artwork all together) bigger than the artboard. When you save, crop it to the artboard. There won’t be white edges this way.

Also, It might be applying a Matte… Make sure in your Save for Web options, Matte is set to NONE.
