There is no definition of ‘movie film’ color. What do you want it to look like?

Are other DVD’s brighter than you would expect in the same player/TV?
Is the contrast increased, decreased, or the same and just brighter overall?

-Mask it into slight ovals:
-Make it larger and break it up into pieces. So it looks like a bunch of smaller 4×3 panels made a larger video wall. (do this by making a grid pattern, precomping the grid and using it as a luma matte on the video layer).
– Parent all the images to a null then make them all face outward from the null in a circle. So when you rotate the null it looks like a disc with images is spinning. Then animate them spin like a slot machine and lock into place at times to show the image.
– Use orhanic mask shapes with hevay feathering to look like amorphious blobs.
– Set the images up in space. And create angled spotlghts that search across them like a police search light revealing them one at a time.
– Use vertical stripes of different thickness overlapping each other. These stripes also reveal the images like slowly moving vertical blinds.
– Use the subject matter to justify the movements. If it’s about gambling, make a slot machine effect or map the images to playing cards. If it was about nature, the images can be amongst a forest or mapped onto leaves, etc.Just brainstorming.

Depends which 3D package you use, but in C4D it’s extremely easy. Use the ‘ring’ primitive. Set the radius, thickness, angle (how much of the ring 360 or less) and that’s it.

I realized you use Fast Channel for a different purpose than we do. We use it like most ppl in the ad game to show reels and such. The part I use is this:

yeah check the archives because it was asked and talked about A LOT.
Basically shoot greenscreen. Key the footage. Pull out the color (hue/sat) then use levels to crush down the gammas and blacks till the figure is almost black but with a little detail still in there.

Why mpeg2 for Fastchannel?
I always send fastchannel our stuff in something like sorenson (listed on their specs).
If you really want mpeg2 and it’s the same as DVD, use a compression program like Apple’s compressor or discreet Cleaner.
What specs are they giving you?
